ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has received summary to decrease power tariff across the country.
Nepra officials will make final decision till December 29, 2015 whether the summary was accepted or not pertaining decrease in electricity rates.
The request was sent by the central power purchasing agency to low prices up to Rs1.97 per unit which will be reviewed on December 29.
The summary stated that advantage of low production cost should be transferred to the nationals as production cost was Rs5.32 per unit as compare to reference price.
