Polling underway for Tando Adam’s 23 wards, two Sanghar UCs

TANDO ADAM:  Polling is underway in 23 wards of municipal committee elections while two union councils (UC) of Sanghar in local government elections that were delayed earlier.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidates are contesting against Pakistan Muslim League-Functional’s (PML-F) 16, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) four while Jamaat-e-Islami’s (JI) three candidates.
In two union councils of district Sanghar, Ghujrro and Harbari, PPP candidates are fighting for the seats against independent candidates.
The polling started at 8:00 am and will continue until 5:00 pm.
At least 57 polling stations have been formed for 23 wards while law enforcers are guarding the sites.
According to an official of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), at least 32 polling stations have been declared highly sensitive, 30 sensitive while ten normal.
