ISLAMABAD: Polling is underway for 37 Senate seats, which will continue uninterrupted from 9am to 5pm.
For the Senate elections, the National and three provincial assemblies have been turned into polling stations and members of the provincial and National Assemblies continue to arrive to cast their votes.
The staff of the Election Commission has taken control of the assemblies and the staff of the National Assembly has been barred from entering the House. The staff or members of the Election Commission can enter the hall while the media can also take the phone to the press gallery.
Returning Officer Zafar Iqbal said that the election was being held through secret ballot.
