Polling in NA-108 suspended after clash between PTI, PML-N in Mandi Bahauddin

MANDI BAHAUDDIN: Polling was suspended on two polling stations following the clash between Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) workers.

Provincial election commission Iqbal Zafar Hussain has taken the notice of the incident and ordered presiding officers to present the report of the incident.

A clash erupted between workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), as PTI supporters attacked two polling stations.

Former PML-N Nazim Rana Sarfaraz was also beaten up during the incident.

Police responded by baton-charging the rioters, and polling was halted at polling stations 133 and 138.

At least 11 candidates are vying for the seat that fell vacant after the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Ejaz Chaudhry.
