Politicians take benefits by spreading hatred in Karachi: Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Sunday criticised ruling politicians over collecting personal benefits by spreading violence and hatred in Karachi, the economic hub of Pakistan. He claimed that Karachi could be replaced by Dubai  if politics of hatred was not promoted in the metropolis during last 30 years.

Imran Khan was addressing corner meeting of PTI Karachi chapter in Lyari’s Kakri Ground in connection with upcoming local government (LG) election to be held on December 5, 2015.

He said that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) united whole humanity under sole ideology but Karachiites were divided into many factions by spreading hatred. He complained for receiving life threats after reaching Lyari.

He added that Karachi was remembered as ‘City of Lights’ in past and there was complete peaceful environment in Lyari. Later, Baloch and Kachi casts were brought face-to-face by seeding hatred amongst them.

PTI chairman said that Karachi is the economic hub of Pakistan and it is prior responsibility for all to bring it out of menaces. He clarified that ‘Naya Pakistan’ mission cannot be accomplished without making ‘Naya Karachi’. Imran said that he came to the metropolis to turn Karachi into ‘Naya Karachi’.
