Lahore: Full implementation of the Police Order 2002 began in Lahore after which the investigation of 34 heads of Local and Special Laws was also handed over to the Investigation Wing.
According to a police spokesman, 34 heads of local and special laws, including the Arms, Systems, Tenancy Act, Wall Chalking, Gambling and Glass Smoking, were first investigated by the police operation, which has now been handed over to the Investigation Wing.
The police spokesperson said that the proposal was made by DIG Operations Ashfaq Khan and the draft was signed by the CCPO.
According to the spokesperson, Operation Wing will only deal with law and order and crime prevention. In this regard, 107 more officers have been assigned to the Investigation Wing.
