KARACHI: Karachi police on Friday gunned down two drug paddlers in an encounter near Old Sabzi Mandi area.
Superintendent Police (SP) Gulshan-e-Iqban Fahad told the media persons that they conducted a search operation of a drug den in the area on a tip off, but when they cordoned off the den, the accused opened fire on the police party.
The SP said that two of the accused were killed in the encounter, two arrested and three others managed to flee from the scene. He said that the police was conducting raids to arrested the accused.
He claimed to have recovered drugs, hand grenade, ball bomb and other sophisticated weapons from the possession of the drug paddlers.
