Police declares Umar Akmal ‘innocent’

LAHORE: A report released by Hyderabad police has declared star cricketer Umar Akmal ‘clear’ who was accused of suspected activities in Hyderabad city.

The recent report declared him ‘clear’ as he was not found guilty in such activities. Moreover, Umar Akmal has been included in the T20 squad of Pakistan that will play against England in a three-match series commencing November 26 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

On the other hand, the cricket has held first meeting with Chief Operating Officer (COO) Subhan Ahmed after his response to show-cause notice of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

However, Umar Akmal excused to comment over the case anymore. He expressed hopes that he would depart to Dubai to play the T20 series.
