Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Q leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi on Wednesday filed a petition against the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Lahore High Court.
The Chaudhry brothers, in the plea, said that the NAB was an institution of political engineering. Courts had already given verdicts on its wrong investigation procedures and its character.
The NAB chief had ordered a re-inquiry against us in a 19 years old matter, they said.
NAB had probed into an assets beyond known sources of income case but found nothing. The PML-Q leaders said that the NAB chief has no authority to reopen a 19 years old inquiry.
We are a political family, which has been targetted politically in the past, they said.
