PML-N leaders describe Imran Khan’s moves as threat to national security

ISLAMABAD: PML-N leaders have said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s moves are a threat to the national security.

Addressing a news conference here on Wednesday evening, PML-N leaders Muhammad Zubair and Daniyal Aziz said that Imran Khan’s actions have caused huge loss to the economy of the country in past.  They said that Imran Khan is creating hurdles in the working of the national institutions.

Muhammad Zubair said that no constitution permits the closure of the capital. He said no such example of closure of the capital exists in the history.

He said that the government has written letters to all the national institutions including Supreme Court, Election Commission, State bank, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and Federal Board of Revenue for investigation into Panama Papers.  He said the government moved a bill in the National Assembly and Pakistan People’s Party in the Senate to probe into the issue. He said Imran Khan does not accept investigation by any national institution, but wants the probe on his own terms and conditions.

Daniyal Aziz said that the audit report of Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital has revealed that Imran Khan has invested the funds of the hospital in the offshore company.  He said Imran Khan should clear his position before the nation before levelling baseless allegations against others.
