PM vows to stand by KSA if any threat arises

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday pledged to stand by the Saudi Arabia if any threat arises to its territorial integrity.

PM Nawaz Sharif held a crucial meeting with visiting Saudi Defence Minister Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud in Islamabad today. Both leaders exchanged views on bilateral relations and overall regional situation, Radio Pakistan reported.

Earlier, the Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Salman Al Saud called on General Raheel Sharif, COAS at General Headquarters.

Matters related to regional security and defence cooperation came under discussion during the meeting.

COAS said Pakistan enjoys close and brotherly relations with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and attaches great importance to their security. Pakistan holds its defence ties with KSA in highest esteem and re-asserted that any threat to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity would evoke a strong response from Pakistan.
