ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday (today) will take all major political parties into confidence over China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in a meeting of parliamentary leaders in Islamabad.

The project which was agreed during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Pakistan last month, will bring a new era of economic prosperity to the region.

The mega project will connect Gwadar Port to China’s Xinjiang region, via a network of highways, railways and pipelines to transport oil and gas.

The economic corridor is considered central to Pakistan-China relations and will run about 3,000 km from Gwadar to Kashgar.
