ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rasheed said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would present facts and truth in the Parliament regarding the baseless allegations being leveled by certain elements.

Talking to newsmen after inaugurating an educational expo here, the minister said some opposition parties were trying to mislead the nation through telling lies. But the nation knew the truth as baseless propaganda based on such allegations used to be launched in the past too.

Some elements were using derogatory language, but it was not the culture of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz to respond to the same, he added.

About PPP leaders Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s speech at a public rally in Azad Kashmir, he said Bilawal had no knowledge of the country’s history and politics. He was now fan of a person who had distributed sweets over the hanging of his grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and used indecent language against his slain mother Benazir Bhutto.

He said Bilawal Bhutto was using the diction of the person whom he had befriended in the recent past, without knowing his political background. The PML-N leadership, he added, did not pay any heed to such abusive speeches.

After inaugurating the event, Senator Pervaiz visited many stalls of the educational institutions and highly appreciated the well-organized event. He said it was a very good step and a noble service that helped the students explore their choices nationally and internationally under one roof. He said such events became a bridge between the educational providers and educational seekers.

He said that only those nations make progress which focus on education and those neglecting this key sector lag behind.

He said that the PML-N  had promised to increase the budgetary allocation for education up to 4 per cent of the GDP and it was gradually moving in the same direction and by the end of its term it will fulfill the promise.
