ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will lay foundation stone of two power plants of 660 megawatt in Tharparkar, Sindh on Monday.
Mirpur Khas Divisional Commission Shafiq Ahmed Mehasar told the media that 660 megawatt electricity would be generated from Thar coal plants.
He said the power plants have been installed at Thar Coal Block-II at one hundred acre land near Butra village.
On the other hand Sindh government spokesman told the journalists that 15,000 megawatt electricity will be generated from Thar Coal till 2025 and in this regard the work on Thar Coal has been accelerated with the support of federal government.
