FAISALABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate construction work on Gojra-Shorkot section of Faisalabad-Multan Motorway M-4 on Monday.
The 62 kilometers section is another milestone in upgrading and decongesting the country’s overburdened transport infrastructure, said spokesperson to PM.
He said it would reduce cost and time from textile producing hub Faisalabad to Multan which is a major trade centre in southern Punjab.
The 58 kilometers Faisalabad-Gojra section of M-4 has already been completed with the assistance of Asian Development Bank and opened to traffic since March 2015.
The M-4 will upgrade country’s vital north-south road network for promotion of economic growth, job creation and regional connectivity.
