QUETTA: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq said corruption has rusted all national institutions. He termed recovery of currency worth billions from residence of Mushtaq Raisani as ‘a grain of rice’ and expressed fear for involvement of prominent names holding key positions in concerned department and government.
Sirajul Haq demanded to expose corruption of politicians and bureaucracy as corruption has embedded in all national institutions. He slammed the government over neglecting moves for barricading corruption across the country. He said Prime Minister has most prior responsibility to secure trusts of the nationals.
The JI Ameer strongly criticised PM Nawaz Sharif over terming persons protesting against robberies and corruption as terrorists. He said the government has always zipped lips whenever voices echoes for imposition of terrorism cases against corrupt elements.
He was expressing his thoughts while addressing journalists during inauguration ceremony of “Corruption Free Camp” and signature campaign in Quetta on Saturday. It should be mentioned here that Sirajul Haq is attending first event in Balochistan’s capital while paying two-day visit to the province. On the occasion, JI Balochistan Ameer Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi, other leaders including Hidayatur Rehman Baloch, Abdul Wali Khan Shakir were also present.
Sirajul Haq urged need of strict and ruthless accountability for recovery of looted money from the national treasury. He said a wide-scale action needed to block corruption holes before the corrupt elements managed to transfer national treasury to foreign countries.
Sirajul Haq appeals nationals to open eyes and to get prepared for national movement for true accountability. He said JI-led Corruption Free Pakistan campaign will get successful. He also demanded ruling and opposition political parties to start internal accountability process.
While commenting over Term of References (ToRs) for probing Panama Leaks, the JI Ameer said PM wanted to approve his favourite genre of ToRs which is unacceptable for opposition.
