ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday took notice of price hike of life saving drugs for Cancer, Diabetes, Hepatitis and some other diseases. The Prime Minister has sought report from Health Ministry over this price hike.
Drug Regulatory Authority has issued notice of increasing medicines prices according to which prices have been raised by 2.5 percent.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked Health Ministry to report him immediately over this sudden price hike in life saving drugs.
However according to the notification, those pharmaceutical companies which have already increased the prices by getting stay from Sindh High Court won’t be allowed to raise their medicines prices.
