Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif summoned leaders of parliamentary parties on Monday to discuss rising Pakistan-India tensions and solidarity with Kashmiris facing atrocities in Indian-held Kashmir.
Leaders of parliamentary parties will be apprised by ceasefire violation at Line of Control (LoC) by Indian forces besides briefing on befitting response made by Armed Forces of Pakistan.
The political leadership will set future strategy for diplomatic, political and moral support of Kashmiris in the upcoming session. It is noteworthy to mention here that political and military leadership made development after LoC violation by Indian forces on September 29 late night which resulted martyrdom of two soldiers of Pakistan Army.
Earlier, a statement from the PM House said the collective response of the Federal Cabinet was significant first step in the wake of recent tension along the LoC as well as to reaffirm solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren.
The statement said the second step would be the collective voice of all parliamentary parties in reiterating Pakistan’s moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people in their struggle for the right of self-determination.
It would also reaffirm the national resolve to make the national security impregnable, the statement said.
