UN should address Kashmir issue: Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to play role to resolve Kashmir issue. He urged the UN to implement on the Kashmir resolutions approved by Security Council.

While addressing to an ambassadors’ conference he said that Indian leadership statement about Kahmir were irresponsible. He said that peace desire could not be one sided. Nawaz said that Pakistan would safeguard its interest at every coast.

Nawaz asked the UN Security Council to act upon Kashmir’s resolution. He said that desire of peace could not be one sided. Nawaz said that the Pak-China Economic Corridor (PCEC) was beneficial for the whole region. He said that PCEC was a game changer project in the region.

He said that they wanted to keep peaceful relation with neighboring countries.

He continued that Afghanistsn’s enemy was Pakistan’s enemy. He said that they would not allow any terrorism sanctuary in Pakistan. He said that they were getting great successes in the operation Zarb-e-Azb.
