DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan 21 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday held a trilateral meeting with US Vice President Joe Biden and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to discuss efforts for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.
The meeting held here on the sidelines of the 46th World Economic Forum reviewed the progress made so far.
US Secretary of State John Kerry and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar attended the meeting.
“Biden’s meeting with Sharif and Ghani at Davos was held as part of the efforts of the Obama administration to help the two neighbours co-operate and co-ordinate on counter-terrorism measures and kick-start the reconciliation process with the Taliban,” the White House said.
