Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on Sunday promised to fix national cricket after team’s average show at the ICC World Cup 2019.
Addressing to a packed house of overseas Pakistanis, former Pakistan captain said he went to England to learn cricket.
“I went to England where I learned to play cricket. When we returned from there we raised the standard of other players. After the World Cup I have decided that I will fix the Pakistan cricket team. The team you see in the next world cup, remember my words that team will be a professional team. We will fix the system and bring one in which the best talent comes forward,” he added.
It is worth to mention here that, the Men in Green finished fifth in the recently concluded World Cup. They failed to qualify for the last four of the tournament due to net run-rate.
