ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed his disappointment over statement delivered by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari. He clarified that Karachi Operation is not for targeting any political party.
PM Nawaz Sharif was chairing meeting with PML-N Sindh chapter leaders in the attendance. PM said that Karachi Operation should be politicised as it is commenced to eliminate terrorists and criminals. He strongly rejected intervention of the federal government into matters of any provincial government.
He reminded that PML-N finished trend for unnecessary intervention of federal governments in past into the matters of provincial governments and Governor Rule was imposed in Punjab province during PPP era.
PM said that the federal government has adopted policy to respect everyone and to deal all matters with consensus. He announced that indiscriminate actions will be continued against culprits looting national treasury.
