ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday took notice of the attack on a vice-principal of Jinnah Medical and Dental College (JMDC), Debra Lobo and asked authorities to submit report of the incident.
The premier has condemned the attack on the 55-year old lady doctor who was targeted on Thursday in Karachi on Shaheed-e-Millat road.
The PM has ordered the authorities to arrest the assailants at earliest.
According to the police, Lobo was shot at by four unidentified attackers on two motorcycles as she left the college to go home.
Lobo received bullets in her cheek and shoulder, following which she was taken to a private hospital for treatment. Several hours later she was declared out of danger.
