PM, COAS visit Sehwan as death toll rises to 88

NAWABSHAH: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa have reached Nawabshah and visited the injured of the deadly Sehwan blast.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair were also there.

At least 88 people were killed while over 300 injured in a suicide attack at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar on Thursday.

Taluka Hospital Sehwan confirmed the death toll of 60 men, four women and six children, adding that 55 bodies were handed over to their heirs, while 15 were unidentifiable.

The medical facility further informed that among the injured, 190 men, 11 women and nine children were under treatment, while 41 wounded patients were shifted to other hospitals.
