QUETTA: Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif along with Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here Tuesday visited Sandeman Civil Hospital to inquire after health of police cadets, who suffered gunshot and splinter wounds in the suicide attack on Police Training Center.
Visiting surgical and orthopedic wards, the prime minister inquired after all police cadets who had suffered gunshots and splinter wounds, as three suicide bombers had attacked their training center Monday night.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Chief of Army Staff, General, Raheel Sharif, Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, Advisor to Prime Minister on National Security, Lt Gen (retd) Nasser Khan Janjua, Commander Southern Command, Lt Gen Aamir Riaz, Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chattha, Inspector General, Frontier Corps Balochistan, Maj Gen Sher Afgun and IGP Balochistan, Ahsan Mehboob.
The Prime Minister and the COAS visited every injured and inquired after his health. Prof Dr Masood Qazi and Prof Dr Hamidullah Khan Panezai Kakar briefed the Prime Minister and the COAS about the health condition of the injured.
They said informed that different medical operations of several injured had been carried out as some of them were inflicted with broken bones after receiving gunshot and splinters.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed the authorities concerned to provide all available medical care and facilities to the injured persons. The government would bear all medical expenditures of the treatment, he said.
