ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief Raheel Sharif on Thursday morning left for Saudi Arabia together on one day state visit.
The premier and the army chief are being visiting Saudi Arabia along with delegation to discuss Yemen crisis with the Saudi leadership.
The PM Nawaz Sharif and the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) will meet the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and other leaders of the Saudi kingdom.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, the PM’s special assistant on foreign affair Tariq Fatemi, foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry will also be part of the Pakistan delegation.
Earlier, on Wednesday the PM also presided consultative meeting regarding upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia and the COAS had also attended the meeting.
Yemen crisis and latest Middle East situation was discussed in the meeting and the PM had hailed Saudi Arabia decision to halt its operation in Yemen.
