ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif spoke over the telephone on Thursday and discussed the situation at the Line of Control (LoC).
According to reports, the Army chief apprised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over the firing incidents at the LoC.
General Raheel Sharif was quoted by sources telling the prime minister that Indian claims of surgical strikes were baseless. Sources further added that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the entire nation had high morale and was committed to defending the country alongwith the armed forces.
