GILGIT-BALTISTAN: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday announced to give the status of interim province to the Gilgit-Baltistan.
The premier made the decision while addressing the “Azadi Parade” held on the eve of the 73rd National Day of Gilgit-Baltistan here.
He said that he had announced to give GB the status of interim province in the light of the decision of the national security council.
“We are safe today due to the sacrifices of our security forces,” he added.
He said that due to the upcoming elections in the area he could not announce the development projects for Gilgit-Baltistan.
