ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday announced Rs2.5 million each for the families of two deceased workers of national flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) who were mysteriously killed by firing while protesting against privatisation bid of the federal government.
PM Nawaz Sharif said that probe will continue to contain responsible of the sorrowful murder incident, PM House spokesperson said in latest statement.
PM also made announcement to provide employment to one person each of the grieved families in the national airlines in accordance with the eligibility while Rs0.5 million each will be given to injured workers.
It should be mentioned that two PIA workers were killed by firing of unidentified persons during protest called by PIA’s Joint Action Committee on February 2 – 2016.
