Sindh home ministry has banned pillion riding for two days in three major cities of the province including Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur citing security concerns on Youm-e-Ali R.A., the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali Radi Allahu Anhu.
Sindh government imposed ban on pillion riding under Section 144 being effective from July 8 till July 9 in order to void terrorism threats on Youm-e-Ali R.A.
Children, women, senior citizens, journalists and law enforcers were exempted from the pillion riding ban as per notification released by the provincial home ministry here on Tuesday.
