ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s national airline PIA has announced to operate cargo flights to Saudi Arabia.
A PIA spokesman said the operation was being launched on government instructions to boost exports. Fruits, vegetables and halal meat are exported from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia.
He said that the air delivery is essential before a product goes bad. The ban on passenger flights is expected to affect exports.
The national airline has also started cargo flights from Pakistan to China.
