Chairman Joint Action Committee of Pakistan International Airlines, Sohail Baloch said the committee has decided to dispatch a letter to International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) regarding ‘unsafe flight operations.’
Sohail Baloch said the international organisation will be apprised of ‘unsafe’ flight operation and the government will only be blamed for any air accident. He alleged that flight safety regulations were being violated for resuming flight operations. He expressed hopes that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will address their issues, otherwise, ‘someone else will listen their sounds.’
Baloch said that they wanted to hold dialogues with the government in view of difficulties being faced by the nationals. He threatened that protestors will start marching towards Jinnah Terminal in Karachi tomorrow if the government failed to produce missing persons.
Baloch claimed that staff members were not present in Jeddah bound flights and ‘requesting the administration not to run unsafe flight operations. He added that pilots were pressurised through police for two flights for Jeddah while 10,000 Riyals fine was imposed on PIA over incomplete documentation.
JAC Chairman said that PIA was an asset of Pakistan and its privatisation will not be accepted at any cost. He claimed that four PIA employees were went missing. He clarified the protestors were not feared of detainment.
Baloch demanded the government to commence dialogues immediately.
