PHC approves Gandapur's bail petition in arms, liquor recovery case

PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Friday ordered to stopped local body re-election in 354 polling stations in KPK.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf’s (PTI) MPA Zahid Durrani pleaded the court that the elections held on May 30 were not transparent and impartial therefore the polls should be declared null and void.

A two-member bench comprising on Justice Irshad Qaiser and Justice Daud heard the case. The petitioner also requested the court to halt the process of re-election. The re-election in KPK were on July 5th. The court was adjourned by July 14th.
