An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday acquitted former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.
Jamhoori Watan Party leader Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed in a military operation in 2006.
The court also acquitted three others, former federal home minister Aftab Khan Sherpao, former provincial home minister Shoaib Nosherwani in its short order.
Musharraf had constituted a federal negotiation team headed by Mushahid Hussain Syed, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and the late Makhdoom Amin Faheem in March 2005 that held numerous meetings with Nawab Bugti.
