ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has asked PTI Chief Imran Khan to answer to the people and the parliament as to why he did not tell the people of having an off shore company.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Pervaiz Rashid said in fact PTI is the only party whose six leaders and members are having off shore companies. He said Imran Khan himself stated that the off shore companies are formed to evade taxes, money laundering and hiding looted money.

The Information Minister posed a company  that after admission by Imran Khan that he owns an off shore company and that six members of PTI are having such companies, whether Imran Khan has any moral justification to remain in Pakistani politics. He said Imran Khan had never mentioned his off shore company assets declaration submitted to the Election Commission. He named Imran Khan, one of his sisters, Jehangir Tareen, Aleem Khan, PKP Senior Minister Taraki and a Senator of PTI as having off shore companies.

He said only one PPP member’s name is in Panama Leaks while no Prime Minister, Minister or members of parliament of PML-N has been named in this list.

“So the main culprits in the Panama Leaks are PTI leaders” and Imran Khan will have to answer to the people and parliament about money laundering, tax evasion and plundering money as he himself stated that overseas companies are used for this purpose.

Pervaiz Rashid said that Imran Khan was Pakistani passport holder while playing cricket in England, Australia and as player and captain of Pakistan team. He said every person having Pakistani passport is required to pay due taxes and declare his assets but Imran Khan did not do so till he entered the politics.

He said the Chief Justice in his letter has asked for identifying the names , institutions against whom investigation is required and the longest list of such people is of those belonging to PTI.
