Maryam orders action against culprits involved in fake Lahore college rape

LAHORE: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said that 220 million people have been without government since last week. Violation of the Constitution and disregard of the orders of the Supreme Court will have bad consequences, she added.

Reacting to the delay in voting on the no-confidence motion in the National Assembly, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said that a person who is not in his senses cannot be allowed to freeze the whole country.

 “This is not a joke,” he said in a message on social media platform Twitter. Such a person should not be treated as a prime minister or a former prime minister but as a fanatic who has taken the whole country hostage to save himself.

Earlier on Thursday, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz had reacted to the decision of the Supreme Court.

Responding on Twitter, Maryam Nawaz said, “Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, congratulations to the nation on the supremacy of the Constitution. The work of those who violated the constitution is over forever.

Maryam Nawaz said that Shehbaz Sharif will be the Prime Minister insha-Allah.

It may be recalled that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has ruled in the case of Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri’s April 3 rolling, dissolution of the National Assembly by the President.

Earlier, Chief Justice Umat Ata Bandial declared ruling of deputy speaker Qasim Suri as unconstitutional.

The court also declared dissolution of National Assembly as unconstitutional and reinstated the parliament.

According to the verdict, all the ministers had been restored. Speaker has been instructed to hold session of the National Assembly on April 9. All the legal actions taken by the government after the dissolution of assembly have been declared unconstitutional.

New prime minister will be elected if the no-trust motion becomes successful, the court ruled.

President Alvi’s steps taken regarding the caretaker prime minister are also unconstitutional, the Chief Justice remarked.
