Ahsan Iqbal downplays PPP's threat of quitting coalition govt

LAHORE: PML-N General Secretary Ahsan Iqbal said that in June 2018 per capita debt of each Pakistani was Rs1, 44,000 but in September 2021 it had jumped to Rs2, 35, 000.

Holding a press conference on Thursday, Ahsan Iqbal asked who turned Pakistan into indebted state? Imran Khan used to remind how much debt is on every Pakistani. Per capita debt of each Pakistani has increased 63 percent in three years.

Ahsan Iqbal said that the country is touching the extreme limits of economic bankruptcy. The rulers are unable to give relief to the people despite borrowing trillions.

He said that instead of asking for receipts from PML-N, the prime minister should show foreign funding receipts so that the people can decide who is true and who is a liar.
