ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has barred the federal government from making arrests under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes (Amendment) Act ordinance’s Section 20.
Earlier on Feb 20, President Dr Arif Alvi had promulgated an ordinance to amend the PECA, 2016. The jail term, under the amended laws, for the demotion was also enhanced to five years from three years.
