Opposition threatens to stage sit-in, block OIC moot if no-trust move not tabled on Monday

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has announced march towards Islamabad on March 23.

PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif hosted a dinner in honour of the joint opposition which was attended by top leadership including Fazlur Rehman and Asif Zardari.

The meeting discussed the political situation in the country and the no-confidence motion and made several important decisions.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting, PDM chief Fazlur Rehman said that the no-confidence motion of the opposition against the fake prime minister was in the national interest.

Instead of facing the no-trust while being remained within the constitutional and democratic sphere, the government has resorted to riots and members are being threatened.

He said that caravans from all over the country would leave between Zuhr and Asr time on March 23 and reach Islamabad on March 24.

The decision on how long the long march would stay in Islamabad would be taken later, he said.
