KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ehsan Mani has said that he has sought written guarantee from the ICC for the players’ visas for the T20 World Cup to be held in India.
Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday with PCB chief executive Wasim Khan and director National High Performance Center Nadeem Khan, Ehsan Mani said it looked like the Asia Cup would be impossible this year as well. There will be a clash of dates as the final of the ICC Test Championship is in June, it seems that the Asia Cup will have to be postponed till 2023.
Ehsan Mani said that the ICC event is going to be held in India from October 2. The ICC has been asked to confirm in writing that all players, squads, journalists and the crowd should get visas.
I will take up the issue during the virtual meeting tomorrow with the ICC, he added.
