PCB chief condoles demise of legend cricketer Hanif Mohammad

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Shaharyar Khan here Wednesday visited the residence of legend cricketer Hanif Mohammad and condoled his demise with the family members.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman PCB said that due to his indisposition, he could not attend the funeral of Hanif Mohmmad whose services for the country in the realm of sports were second to none.

The vacuum created on Hanif Mohammad death is difficult to fill he said adding that the legendry cricketer had played historic innings for the country that would be remembered for long time.

“Hanif never accepted defeat”, Shaharyar Khan remarked while sympathizing with the family members including son Shoaib Mohammad and  grand children of Hanif Mohammad urging them to remain patient to bear this irreparable loss.

It is pertinent to mention here that cricketing legend Hanif Mohammad died at Aga Khan Hospital here on Thursday (August 11).

He was 81-year-old and suffering from lungs cancer for which he had underwent surgery in London in 2013.
