LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board’s meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) that was scheduled to be held on April 13 has been delayed as the members have refused to show-up.

Talking to APP, a PCB official said the members of the governing board have refused to attend the meeting as they were not taken into confidence over some major decisions that the board took in the past few days regarding the Asia Cup and World Twenty-20.

Recently PCB dissolved the Haroon Rasheed’s led selection committee. Waqar Younis also resigned from head coach three months before expiration of his contract while Shahid Afridi also stepped from the T20 captaincy. The PCB therefore appointed Sarfraz Ahmed as the new T20 skipper.

The official said the members of the governing board are disappointed with some of the board’s decision. “However the PCB’s general council meeting will be held as per schedule on April 14,” he said.

He said Members of governing board are yet to be given brief over the decisions taken over the Asia Cup and World Twenty-20 performance. “The accounts of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) were also to be discussed the governing board meeting,” the official said.

Responding to a question, he said however Chairman of PCB Governing Body and PSL Najam Sethi did not refuse to attend the meeting but only the members have.
