Pathankot Attack: Pakistan completes initial investigations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani authorities have completed their initial investigation over information provided by the India regarding the recent terrorist attack on the Pathankot airbase in which seven Indian security personnel were killed.

According to well-informed sources, Pakistan has handed over the information from the initial investigation report to Indian authorities.

Sources told that the India had provided Pakistan communication intercepts and telephone numbers, which they claimed were used by the terrorists during the attack.

Sources said the numbers provided by India were not registered in Pakistan. Pakistani authorities started its probe as soon as the information was provided by the Indians, who claim that the attackers were affiliated with the banned Jaish-e-Mohammad militant outfit.

Sources said that investigative agencies are carrying out further investigation. A response from the Indian side is expected later today, the sources added.
