NEW DELHI: An Indian senior officer and current Director General (DG) of National Investigation Agency (NIA) Sharad Kumar said that the Indian investigation team will also visit Pakistan after completion of five-day visit of Pakistan’s Joint Investigation Team (JIT) regarding Pathankot airbase attack.
Date of upcoming visit will be announced afterwards by the Indian authorities, Kumar told media in New Delhi. He claimed that vivid evidences have been provided to Islamabad pertaining the elements involved in the attack, Indian media reported.
He claimed that firm evidences were provided to the Pakistani team regarding activists of Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) and handlers of the horrific attack.
The senior officer said the Indian authorities had tabled demand to approve visit of NIA team as master plan of the attack was envisaged in Pakistan.
Sources quoted by the report said the visit is likely to take place in the first or second week of May.
