Authorities have suspended passports of 300 accused persons over their involvement in human trafficking and agents following directions of interior minister Chaudhry Nisar.
Nisar also directed embassies in foreign countries to collect evidences by the concerned officials if any national was facing deportation orders in terror case.
The directives were issued during a high-level inter-ministerial meeting chaired by Chaudhry Nisar.
Moreover, the interior minister ordered to block national identity cards and to freeze bank accounts of the 300 accused persons. Nisar also directed not to issue temporary travel documents to the deportees without formal permission of the ministry of interior. He announced to impose hefty fines against airlines over carrying deportees to Pakistan without formal permission and travel documentations.
Interpol will be contacted to seek Red Warrants of human traffickers at large while an investigation will be held for finding reasons behind failure in progress whether it was made by political influences or by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Nisar directed FIA to start progress after collecting evidences by US officials against Altaf Khanani.
He said that Pakistani embassies must remove flaws in admission agreements with assistance of European Union (EU).
The interior minister clarified that a violation of human rights will be made by deporting any Pakistani without firm evidences of terrorism. He advised embassies to provide assistance to overseas nationals with help of local community. The meeting was attended by high-level officials of interior and foreign ministries, FIA and chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
