Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Saddiq has issued the notification of changes made in the committee formed to appoint new members in Election Commission.
As per details, the members of the assembly were asked to name their party representative in the committee which were changed today (Thursday).
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) withdrawn Shahryar Khan Afridi from the committee and named Shah Mehmood Qureshi as his replacement. Similarly Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) named Pervaiz Rasheed in place of Senator Ayesha Raza Farooq, Captain Safdar replaced by Zahid Hamid.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) replaced Ayaz Soomro with Yousaf Talpur.
After the replacement, the committee now has 12 members. In this regard a notification has been issued by Speaker Ayaz Saddiq.
The first session of the committee will take place at 2 PM at Parliament house today.
