ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq on Monday refused the Prime Minister’s commission on Panama leaks and demanded an independent, powerful judicial commission chaired by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).

While talking to the media, outside the parliament house, he said that economic terrorism was also a challenge for Pakistan alongside the armed terrorism. Haq said that current and former rulers were the pioneers of corruption in the country.

He said that Panama leaks exposed the corruption of our rulers and it was just a preface of the story. The JI Ameer said that the judicial commission should be given mandate to conduct free, transparent investigations and give the merit-based verdict.
