ISLAMABAD: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul- Haq on Tuesday said that they wanted Panama Leaks’ case to be result-oriented, saying that any solution other than judicial commission to probe the scandal is not acceptable to them.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the JI chief said that the Prime Minister wasted seven months of himself and the nation as well.

He accused the government of using delaying tactics regarding Panama leaks. Haq said that the case was linked with the future of 200 million people of the country.

He said that Prime Minister had announced three times to present himself and his family for accountability and formulated ToRs to prove himself innocent. He said that changing of counsel during the case showed government’s panic.

He demanded such a commission should be constituted which not only conduct investigation into the leaks but also try those found involved in corruption and the apex court should monitor the commission. The National Accountability Bureau, Federal Investigation Agency and other government institution must assist the proposed commission in investigation into the leaks, he urged.

The JI chief demanded that there should be across the board action against the corrupts. He said they wanted the corrupts behind the bars.
