ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader and the Leader of Opposition in Senate, Aitzaz Ahsan has said that the only way for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to save his face regarding Panama Leaks issue was accepting the Terms of References (ToRs) of Opposition in the Parliament.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, Aitzaz Ahsan said that pressure on PM pertaining Panama Leaks issue with mount further with the passage of time and the only safe passage for him was to accept the Opposition’s ToRs. He made it clear that the Opposition parties would not bow down to their demand of transparent probe into Panama Leaks and holding accountable, the elements involved in plundering the national exchequer and making illegal assets abroad.
The PPP leader said that Premier Nawaz Sharif committed a substantial mistake by recording tv statement of his son.
Aitzaz said that there was wide difference between the claims of the PM and statement recorded by his son regarding Panama Leaks. —INP
