ISLAMABAD: A five-member larger bench of the Supreme Court resumed hearing of Panama Papers case here on Friday.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa is heading the larger bench.

Jamaat-e-Islami’s counsel Toufeeq Asif is presenting arguments before the court today.

Toufeeq Asif observed that the prime minister had become disqualified as he concealed his assets in London. He claimed that now the PM is no more righteous (Sadiq) and honest (Ameen). The PM’s speech may be used as proof, he added.

Justice Asif Khosa asked the JI’s counsel that are you alleging the prime minister had deliberately concealed his property in London?

It is within the domain of the court to issue a declaration after recording findings, the JI lawyer observed.

He said that Mr Nawaz Sharif had violated his oath as an MNA and a prime minister.

Are you trying to say that the prime minister be disqualified because he violated his oath, Justice Amzat asked from the JI lawyer.

Ittefaq Foundry was in loss in 1980 but it earned a huge profit of Rs60 crores within three years time after recovering from deficit, Toufeeq Asif observed.
